Operations, Risk & Compliance Manager
We are seeking an experienced Operations, Risk & Compliance Manager to join our Senior Leadership Team and play a key role in the strategic and operational management of our growing multi-office law firm.
You will bring strong experience of operating in a regulated legal environment, with a practical and collaborative approach to compliance, risk and operational excellence. In addition, you will support the Managing Partner and Partnership in delivering the firm’s strategic objectives and ensuring the firm operates efficiently and compliantly. This role excludes any day to day IT or HR delivery, with dedicated specialists in post.

Job Responsibilities:
· Leading Lexcel compliance and annual audits,
· Supporting regulatory compliance alongside the COLP, COFA and MLRO,
· Coordinating Professional Indemnity and insurance renewals,
· Overseeing firm-wide risk management frameworks,
· Oversight of file, case and client care systems,
· Managing administrative and reception teams across the offices,
· Facilities and operational infrastructure oversight,
· Supporting Partners and the Managing Partner on governance and operational strategy.
Essential Skills:
· Strong knowledge of Lexcel and SRA frameworks,
· Excellent organisational, analytical and communication skills,
· Proven ability to operate at senior leadership level, influencing Partners and senior stakeholders,
· Strong written and verbal communication skills,
· High attention to detail and ability to manage complex compliance frameworks,
· Confident decision making and ability to challenge constructively where required.
Desirable Skills:
· Familiarity with multi-office legal practice operations,
· Project management experience and/or qualifications.
Experience:
· Senior operational or compliance experience in a Law firm (essential),
· Experience leading Lexcel audits (desirable),
· Experience coordinating PII renewals (desirable).
Job Types:
· Full time, Permanent.
Place of Work:
· Shrewsbury: Reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work is required.
Salary:
· To be discussed at interview stage and will depend on qualifications and experience.
