Our History
PCB Solicitors LLP was incorporated on 17th March 2005.
The firm was created from three well-established practices: Clarke & Son, Patience Hayes Partnership, and Burrowes & Co. Many of our long-standing clients still fondly refer to us as Patience Clarke & Burrowes.
Clarke & Son
Founded in 1860, Clarke & Son has a rich history, having incorporated the practices of Shay and Lingford-Hughes and Corser & Son over the years. This long-standing heritage laid a strong foundation for what PCB Solicitors is today.
Patience Hayes Partnership
The Patience Hayes Partnership arrived in Shrewsbury in 1988. From the outset, they quickly built a reputation for delivering high-quality legal services to both business and private clients, establishing themselves as a trusted name in the community.
Burrowes & Co
Established in 1984, Burrowes & Co brought a wealth of experience and dedication, further strengthening the comprehensive legal expertise offered by PCB Solicitors.
Growth and expansion
In 2010, PCB Solicitors LLP became the successor firm to Freemans Solicitors of Telford. This year also marked the acquisition of the Criminal Department from Thursfields Solicitors Worcester, broadening our scope of services and enhancing our capability in criminal law.
Continuing our growth, in 2012, PCB Solicitors became the successor firm to J S Winny & Co in Craven Arms, Shropshire. This expansion allowed us to serve a wider client base with the same commitment to excellence that has always been our hallmark.
We take pride in our rich history and the legacy of the firms that have come together to form PCB Solicitors. Each merger and acquisition has brought unique strengths and expertise, allowing us to provide comprehensive legal services to our clients.
