Wills, Trusts, Probate & Power of Attorney

We believe in speaking plain English and work to ensure all clients are clear on every aspect of their Will and estate details.

The importance of making a Will cannot be overstated, particularly for the peace of mind of those you leave behind.

It ensures that those who you wish to inherit from you will do so. If you die without a Will there are rules which dictate how the money, property or possessions must be allocated, and this is unlikely to match how you would like it to happen.

Making a Will does not have to be complex, time-consuming or costly, despite it being such an important and valuable document. And if your affairs do require extra careful planning the PCB team has all the expertise and experience to advise on every aspect, including trusts and tax liability, in particular, Inheritance Tax.

Our friendly and knowledgeable staff can assist with all areas related to estate planning. They are also experienced with the creation of the two types of Lasting Powers of Attorney: ‘Property and Affairs’, ‘Personal Welfare’ and ‘Deputyships’. The first allows for someone to help you manage your financial affairs, or manage them for you if you no longer can. The second allows for someone to express your views as to your welfare once you have lost the ability to do so yourself.

After a death PCB ensure that a Will is administered with sympathy and efficiency, carrying out all of the processes and administration necessary, including dealing with Inland Revenue and setting up, managing and winding up trusts.

Our experts can advise and assist with;

  • Administration of Estates
  • Court of Protection
  • Care Home Fees
  • Deeds of Variation / Post Death Variation
  • Deputyships
  • Inheritance disputes
  • Lasting Power of Attorney – Property & Affairs and Personal Welfare
  • Probate & Probate Law
